Use markup that facilitates pronunciation or
interpretation of abbreviated or foreign text. We need to
make sure that when we change the text to another
language, we need to change it in the html. Basically, in
the header of the html there is a line that shows what
language the document is in. This header looks like this:
xml:lang="en” This should be in the header of every
document. We need to make sure that every change in the
natural language of the text is marked clearly and has
equivalent text. This means we need to use the quote
markup. This helps any screen readers or other software
to interpret this text differently. Any abbreviations
need to be marked clearly somewhere so the reader knows
what they mean. The html also needs to be marked clearly.
This is what it should look like when using
abbreviations: WWW This will read the title
to the user and keep that title hidden for others who
don’t need the special software. If we can make
sure these changes are in place, then those that need to
access our page can get the information that they are
looking for much easier. This will turn into profits in
the long run as they keep returning.
